International School Award
SJB gains prestigious international school award
SJB has been accredited with the British Council's prestigious International School Award, in recognition of the quantity and range of international work and visits undertaken across the curriculum. Claire Brown, SJB's international co-ordinator and Siu Wan Thomas, the ex-chair of the Chinese association of Woking attended the British Council's awards ceremony on 11 October 2006 and collected the award on behalf of SJB. The award was presented by the television broadcaster Jonathan Dimbleby, who stressed the importance of incorporating the international dimension across the curriculum to help prepare young people to become global citizens.
