Chinese Association of Woking
We have an excellent and well established link with The Chinese Association of Woking (CAW) who for many years have held their Saturday morning Chinese school at SJB. We are an exam centre for Cantonese and Mandarin and are very proud of the excellent results achieved not only by the Chinese Community but also from some of our own students who have benefited from this opportunity. Our friends at CAW share their rich culture and language during SJB’s International Week where SBJ students try their hand at Chinese brush painting, Tai Chi, Chinese cookery, language, music and calligraphy.
Community Links with Businesses
The annual ‘Living Languages Project’ is run jointly by SJB and Surrey Education Business Partnership (EBP) and involves 1000 children in 5 Woking secondary schools. This event is sponsored by Woking Town Twinning Association, Woking Borough Council, Barclays, Chinese Association of Woking, Peacocks Shopping, Woking Chamber of Trade and Commerce, Woking Football Club and Wolsey Place Shopping to whom we are grateful for their support.
